AUDITIONS!!!

 

This year, the 5th & 6th grade choir will present their musical "Disney and the 7 Habits" in late March. Students will perform for parents, the school and at our annual Leadership Day. We will hold auditions during school the week of November 18-22. All choir students will be part of the production. They will be auditioning for a limited amount of solos and speaking parts. Parts will be posted outside the music room Monday or Tuesday, November 25th-26th. Good luck to all auditioning!


Music Guest Speaker

Are you a professional or semi-professional musician? Do you have a music connection, special cultural instrument or cultural music tradition that you would like to share with a class at Worthington Estates?

I would like to invite any parents or relatives of a Worthington Estates student to come as a guest speaker in my class. Please let me know if you would like to speak to some of my music classes at some point this year!

Welcome back to a new school year! It's going to be a great year of music making. Please take time to check out the music links on this page. There are some fun, interactive websites for students to practice their music reading skills. I will be posting information about upcoming performances for the 5th & 6th grade choir as well as a mini-musical for the 2nd grade in the spring.

CINDERELLA

This is a little late - but better late than never! A HUGE congrats to both casts of Cinderella. Both 5th & 6th grade groups did a terrific job. Bravo!!

DANCE MARATHON!!

The students completed a 5 week dance unit with Mrs. Cicero and myself. We learned dance moves from several different decades and dance routines of various musical styles. The students enjoyed a dance marathon which featured a disco ball in the gym! They did an impressive job!

3rd Grade Spring Musical

The 3rd grade will be performing a spring musical on Wednesday, May 15th at 7pm. Please mark your calendars now. Our theme is colors and we will sing songs featuring all the colors of the rainbow. Students will have special acting, dancing, and singing roles. We will also perform during the day for the school.
